Today, we remember the innocent victims who lost their lives in the attacks against our country seven years ago.
We are grateful for the first-responders in New York City and Washington, DC, some of whom gave their lives and many of whom saved other lives.
In Western Pennsylvania, we honor the passengers of Flight 93. As they flew over our homes and our schools, they made a conscious decision to wait to rush the cockpit, thereby sparing an unknown number of lives of our families here.
Finally, we thank those who put their lives on the line everyday to protect our nation and our freedoms.
Let us remember to thank them every day.
